any Sunday must do deals? Feb 20

Since I am obviously working my way towards making this a weekly feature, I guess I should clarify how I define a “must do” deal. Must do to me means, either-
We have an overlapping of sales, ads, catalinas, or some other promo-and the offers are all only overlapping for a day or two. In other words, gotta get out there or the deal will expire.
It’s a deal that I think is going to be so popular, and it’s all over the various sites, so there may be supply issues and if you wait, you won’t get any.
It’s a deal, that although a completely legit deal, is just a little too good to be true, and I think that the stores may pull it once they figure it out. Couponers always figure it out first though. Last year, there was a Budweiser BBQ sauce deal, we were paying $0.50-$1 per bottle, and getting a $2.50 catalina back for each one. Giant pulled that one by noon or so on Sunday, lol. Or the recent Rite Aid deal with free toilet paper and tissues. By Monday morning, it was limit 3 per customer.

So, that being said, the must do deals for tomorrow are……….

ACMoore:
Has some doorbusters-all Crayola, Melissa & Doug, Thomas stuff-50% off Sunday & Monday only. If I didn’t already have all the presents we need for B’s birthday next month, I’d definitely go.

CVS:
Two freebies that are Sun/Mon/Tues only-Cadbury Mini Eggs and Gold Emblem Jelly beans. I got a $1 off ANY Gold Emblem when I scanned my card under the card scanner. So I’ll pay $0.75 for both items, get back $0.99 and $0.75 in Extra bucks. There’s some Colgate that will be free if you have the $1 coupons. I have an Rx to pick up, so I’ll get that, my free candy & call it a week.

Macy’s:
The denim deal I posted earlier today, I think I want to get in there sooner rather than later. With the holiday weekend, things will get picked over. I just recently arrived at a body weight lower than I was pre-first-baby, so I think I may treat myself to some new jeans.

Target:
Remember a few weeks ago, when I mentioned that March is Frozen Foods Month and to start looking out for deals on Frozen Food? Well, it’s starting. Target has a deal with a free freezer tote bag when you buy six select items. If the items that are included are things you would purchase anyway, it’s a cute tote. It says quantities limited, so this is something I would go out & get early in the week. The ladies at HCW have done a much better job at coupon matchups than I have. Check it out.

Walgreen’s:
A pretty slow week overall, nothing to crow about. I’ll sit this week out, will play again next week with the Motrin deal. The potting soil is a decent price, and there is an RR deal on Pampers & Rephresh tampons, if you have RRs that you want to roll. Dr Scholls deal is also decent return ($8 when you spend $20) if you need those items.

Rite Aid:
Offering some freebies this week if you already have UPs rewards & coupons to spend. Johnson’s Baby Care (1/9 inserts) is one of them, but remember that it’s also on clearance at Superfresh.

Genuardi’s:
The 5 day sale starts Sunday. They’re offering some good prices on things. The Nature Sweet tomatoes that are on sale are really the only winter tomato that we’ll eat. Still not nearly as good as a summer PA tomato, but tolerable.

Target ad, Feb 20-26, some highlights & matchups

Target is offering several gift card deals that look ok. You could start and roll the gift card into other transactions that will produce more gift cards.

First, if you need the McAfee software or H&R Block tax prep software, it’s offering a $25 GC wyb two items.

Buy two participating CDs, get a $5 GC. Justin Bieber appears to be included, lol.

Sobe-Buy 10 bottles for $10, get $5 GC. Great deal if you have any of the bogo coupons or $1/2 coupons kicking around. They were tearpads, homemailers and printables. I just checked the Sobe site and it appears they are no longer available.

Get a $5 GC wyb any two participating razors or cartridges. Fusion, Venus. There are $2, $4, and $5 coupons out there for these-from 1/30, home mailers, 2/13. Sale price is 9.89.

Zone/Perfect bars-$4.50 for box of 5 or 6. The 1/16 inserts had a $0.55/1, but if you have an Acme, get them there instead where it’s $1 per bar, or free after coupon.

Ziploc items on sale for $2.23. Lots of coupons from 2/13 make this a good price if you need it.

Planters NUTrition is on sale for $4, awesome price. I have $1 off 1 tearpad coupons I found at Acme. $3 is less than half price!

Nestle/Purina/Tidy Cat/Fancy Feast (24ct)- get $5 GC wyb any two items on page. Use this $3 printable. Also in tomorrow’s inserts and the 2/13 inserts.

Free storytime, next Saturday. I will include this again when I do next week’s “fun & frugal weekends” but just wanted to put it out there now.

Coke 12pks, 3 for $9. Use the $3 off 3 coupon from Safeway booklets.

Herbal Essences-$2.50 each. $1 off 2s in the 1/30 inserts.

Danimals/Activia-1.89, that’s the lowest I’ve seen it in a while. $1 Activia coupons from 1/30, $.89!

Saturday morning errand picks

Out running Saturday errands? If you have time and the desire, these are the deals I’d check out-

Dollar General-has a 5/25 printable, so I’d go there first to see what cheap non-perishable food items you can get before you do your weekly shopping trip. Here’s the post from earlier this week.

If you aren’t particularly interested in waiting until Tuesday to do the Box Tops deal (that’s the day the catalina for them starts) I’d go in on Saturday and do it, plus pick up the cheap eggs. At 0.99 dozen, with two of the printables, you can get four dozen for about $1.60! I’ll hardboil some to stick in lunches for something different, plus look up some quiche and frittata recipes. And I’ll pick the ones I can find with the longest expiration date.

If you’re near a Peebles, can’t hurt to pop in and take a peek.

If you’re going past a Superfresh, consider the P&G deal or the free Tide.

Lowe’s is offering 10-15% off appliances this weekend. Interest free financing on purchases over $397. The Home Depot deals are very similar–use this to your advantage, make one undersell the other!

Locals-it’s tucked away, so it’s easy to forget about Glen Willow Orchards. But I’ve been shopping for most of my produce their lately–their citrus is soooo much better and cheaper than what is in the grocery stores.

Free Tide at Superfresh-UPDATE! (plus some clearance finds)

From what I’m reading online, the $5.99 price for Tide is the regular price, not sale. So log in to your esavings, get $3.35 off. Clip the $3 coupon from 1/30 and voila, free!

This throws a wrench in the works for my plans for the P&G deal that starts tomorrow, but that’s ok. Free is much better than cheap.

Just got back from SF. I did not see any Tide for 5.99. I did however, find some for $3.79. Tested it, and it took the $3 off from my esavings, but did not take off the $0.35 (even though I know I clicked that one too).

Went back for more. Ack–it’s only taking $3 off once! And I purchased 9. The manager was more than accommodating, but if you want it to be hassle free, ring them up separately at self checkout. Also, I had $1 off ANY Tide stain release, they were the big cardboard coupons that come in with the Pampers, they worked just fine in addition to the esavings, so it’s a small moneymaker, so find a filler so your total isn’t in the negative.

Also, lots of J&J on clearance for $2.24, if you have the $1 J&J coupons that are out, there are tons of them to be found, from inserts to home mailers to inside packages. Aveeno baby on clearance too and I had lots of $1 coupons for that.

Butterfinger snackerz are on clearance already for $0.40, so if you have the $1 off 2 printables that were out, that’s also a small moneymaker.

Love freebies!
