No coupons? No problem! Acme, Walgreen’s, CVS-March 21

I am an Extreme Couponer. No, I’ve never gone into a store and gotten an entire pallet of cereal for free. But I do get multiple inserts each week, know all the policies and promos of my stores and have a decent enough stockpile in my basement that gives me enough ‘street cred’ with the other extreme couponers.

But it’s not for everyone, heck, some people never, ever want to clip a coupon! That doesn’t mean that there aren’t decent deals to be had. I used to do a regular feature called “No coupons, no problem” but have gotten away from it. Thank you to my new friend Alissa at Fun Finds for Families for reminding me that clipping coupons isn’t for everyone. So here you go, here are a few quick easy deals without clipping any coupons.

Acme-Acme is running a promo this week where you buy 10 items from a select list (on back page of flyer) and they’ll deduct $5 total, or $0.50 from each item. Propel is on the list. Propel is $1, so if you buy ten, only $0.50 per. And, many shoppers have spotted $1 off 2 peelie/sticky coupons stuck to the bottles of Propel. Tip: the Avondale Acme was completely wiped out of Propel yesterday, so methinks that the bottles had the peelies on them. After all, it’s not rocket science. If you’re staring a sign that is advertising the item for $0.50 and you spot those coupons………well, easy math! If you’re going to Acme anyway, can’t hurt to look. Deal runs through Thursday.

Another Acme deal: Log your Acme card into your e-savings. Ok, this might be a little bit of work, sorry. But it’s not clipping coupons! Look at what offers you got loaded on to your card. Did you get the $0.50 or $0.75 off Fresh Express? Guess what? It’s on sale for $1 this week, so you’ll only pay $0.25 or $0.50 per bag. I wish spinach had a longer shelf life! So I got some yesterday, and I’ll go back on Thursday, the last day of the deal and get more. We’ll be out of milk or bananas by then anyway.

Walgreen’s: This week at Walgreen’s, Almay cosmetics are 30% off. In addition, if you buy one, you’ll get $5 back in Register Rewards. So, if you needed to purchase something there anyway this week, look for an Almay item first, one that is on sale for $5 or less. Pay for it, get your $5 RR. Now, go get the item that you came in for, and pay for it with your $5 RR.

CVS: Got allergy problems? CVS has Allegra on sale this week for $6.99. Buy it with your CVS shopper card, get $6.99 back in Extra Care Bucks. Same premise as the Walgreen’s deal–if you need something there anyway this week, get the Allegra first. Then grab your $6.99 and go use that to purchase whatever it is that you needed.

Nestle Printables

Here is a link to some Nestle printables that were in my email. I have seen all of these items on sale recently at Acme and Superfresh. In fact, just bought Ovaltine yesterday with the coupon. It was $3.99, minus the $1. Down from $5.xx. I can’t get my 2-year-old to drink milk and someone suggested I try Ovaltine. It didn’t work, sigh.

The dogs ruined my plans!

I used to do a weekly feature on Wednesday mornings. My Wednesday mornings were scheduled so that I had to have my one son at OT by 8:30, but then had an hour to kill until I went to work. So I would hit the local stores for freebies and deals, and report about it.

Then my schedule changed and now we’re home on Wednesday mornings and he has therapies from 8:30-10 here. I then switched it up and started doing all my freebie deals and grocery shopping on Monday mornings. Plus Superfresh and Acme would usually give me next week’s ads on Mondays which was nice.

Over the weekend, hubby took dogs with him on an errand. Apparently, since they are so wild and misbehaved, they bumped into the light switch on the ceiling of the car. That light stayed on all weekend and hubby didn’t notice it until this morning at 6:00 am. When he was leaving for work, car wouldn’t start and he noticed a dim brown light in rear of car. He had to take the other car which means I’m stuck home all day. And it’s thundering and lightning here, so I can’t even load B up in the stroller to walk down & get my coupon inserts.

The positive side is that I will probably get caught up on household chores today.

Update on Acme-other deals found

The Fresh Express Salad is $1 this week at Acme. I got $0.50 off Fresh Express on my e-savings. And another couponer reported that she got $0.75 off Fresh Express on her e-savings. $0.25-$0.50 per bag is a great price. Wish it kept longer, not really  a stockpile item.

Also, couponers on hcw are reporting finding $1 off 2 peelies on the Propel. That will make it free if you buy ten bottles and combine the instant savings deal.
