Some possible national catalina deals

Catalina marketing is a national company and many times when they offer a “catalina” or “cat” for an item(s), it is running at several big chains at once. It’s always confused me as to why they would run these catalinas at some stores without advertising them. But usually once word spreads around on the various blogs, someone will be the guinea pig and confirm it. In this region, the stores that would be affected are Acme, Superfresh, A&P, ShopRite and Pathmark. Try at your own risk and be prepared to return the items if you really don’t want them, unless someone confirms it is working.

$2 off $25 printable at Acme/Supervalu stores

Here is a link to a $2 off $25 purchase at Acme. It’s a store coupon so you should be able to stack it with any mfr coupons you have. I printed mine and they expire 5/1.

It includes the other Supervalu stores-Shaw’s, Albertson’s, Cub, etc.

No coupons? No problem! April 16

Welcome to another post of “No coupons? No problem!” where you can act like a supercouponer without all that clipping. Here are some hot deals that you don’t need coupons for:

CVS: Sunday through Tuesday, the following items are giving back exactly what you’ll pay for them, in Extra Bucks-Easter Grass at $0.99, and Paas Easter Dye at $1.99. So you can go in and spend $2.98, get those two items. Then you’ll have $2.98 to go back in & spend on whatever you need! Limit 1 per card.

Walgreen’s: Select Goody hair items are $3, get $3 back in Register Rewards. So go buy one, get your hair item plus your $3 RR back. Then go spend your $3 RR on whatever you need. If you want to try your hand at “rolling RRs,” may I suggest the Always. Use your $3 RR plus another $3 cash to purchase two Always. Get $4 back!

And, all of us local couponers are still excited about the $1.99 butter at Superfresh. No coupons, no minimum purchase, no limit! Acme recently advertised a “deal” on a pound of butter that was $5.24…….really?

What is Cellfire, and are you eligible?

Cellfire is not really popular in this part of the country; not many stores use it. It’s an e-savings program. Genuardi’s and Shop Rite use it, but that’s it for us.

To see if your stores are eligible, click here. Just keep in mind, that usually with Cellfire, you cannot also stack a paper coupon with the e-coupon. For that reason, I hope Acme & Superfresh NEVER sign on with Cellfire!

Periodically, they do run promos where they will tack on extra savings to your card if you check in. I’ll try to remember to post those when I see them.
