The dogs ruined my plans!

I used to do a weekly feature on Wednesday mornings. My Wednesday mornings were scheduled so that I had to have my one son at OT by 8:30, but then had an hour to kill until I went to work. So I would hit the local stores for freebies and deals, and report about it.

Then my schedule changed and now we’re home on Wednesday mornings and he has therapies from 8:30-10 here. I then switched it up and started doing all my freebie deals and grocery shopping on Monday mornings. Plus Superfresh and Acme would usually give me next week’s ads on Mondays which was nice.

Over the weekend, hubby took dogs with him on an errand. Apparently, since they are so wild and misbehaved, they bumped into the light switch on the ceiling of the car. That light stayed on all weekend and hubby didn’t notice it until this morning at 6:00 am. When he was leaving for work, car wouldn’t start and he noticed a dim brown light in rear of car. He had to take the other car which means I’m stuck home all day. And it’s thundering and lightning here, so I can’t even load B up in the stroller to walk down & get my coupon inserts.

The positive side is that I will probably get caught up on household chores today.

Update on Acme-other deals found

The Fresh Express Salad is $1 this week at Acme. I got $0.50 off Fresh Express on my e-savings. And another couponer reported that she got $0.75 off Fresh Express on her e-savings. $0.25-$0.50 per bag is a great price. Wish it kept longer, not really  a stockpile item.

Also, couponers on hcw are reporting finding $1 off 2 peelies on the Propel. That will make it free if you buy ten bottles and combine the instant savings deal.

Smartsource 3/20 inserts, reverse matchups

Hello!

Wow, this is so exciting, posting on my new site. Here are my reverse matchups for the 3/20 Smartsource inserts. New Readers–reverse matchups are sort of my out-loud thinking of what I see & think when I flip through a coupon insert. It evolved from me hearing from others “I look at the coupons in the Sunday paper and I just don’t see anything I want.” Well, this is what I see and what I want. Note: on the spine of the coupon insert is the date. So never, ever throw out a coupon before it expires, toss them in a drawer or shoe box or something. That way if a freebie deal pops up, you’ll be able to find & use that coupon.

Front page, Ken’s coupons-I’ll keep them, but it’s unlikely I’ll use them. I routinely get Kraft and Wish-Bone dressings for almost free, and don’t use much of it anyway. But in the event, of a freebie, I like to have them on hand.

$1 off 2 Planters-there are so many tearpads to be found at the stores that are $1 off 1, which are twice as good, I won’t use these.

Bissell rebates-we just recently got a vacuum, so I won’t use these. But if you need a vacuum, look for ways to stack this deal with sales, possibly a gift card back plus this rebate.

Pediasure-won’t use it, but will keep it.

GM products-c’mon Acme or Superfresh, we’re like a bunch of coupon junkies, and you haven’t given us a good GM deal in a llllooonnnngggg time. I’ll keep these, just in case.

Pullups/Depends-weren’t the Pullups coupons from last week worth $2? So why would I use this one!?! Pffft. Will keep them just in case. After all, I did just purchase (for free) some Tena incontinence products, since CVS paid me to take them out the door. Yeah, I have no shame-if CVS is going to pay me $2.50 to take a pack of Tena off their hands, I’m not opposed to doing the same for Depends. Will donate to local non-profit nursing home.

Genteal/Zaditor-pffft, won’t use.

Pistachios-I really want to get on board with eating nuts for my health, really I do. So I will clip & keep this one in anticipation of doing just that.

Purina-will keep in case of a freebie deal, there are frequently Purina catalina offers at the grocery stores.

Kleenex-Woohoo! That one’s a keeper. $0.75 will double to $1.50 at Acme, Superfresh, ShopRite, Pathmark and Giant. And I must go check my ads–I think I just saw these for $2 someplace, just $0.50 after this coupon.

Scott-will keep to stack with other deals

Next several pages of coupons-Mentos, citracal, blah blah blah. Won’t use those.

Playtex-CVS and Walgreen’s often run promos on this, keep an eye out.

Huggies-the values that were in the paper last week or the week before, much higher. I’ll still keep these, just in case.

Freestyle-always keep these coupons, good moneymaker opportunities at the pharmacies. Then I donate them.

Hill’s-this is what we feed our dogs, so def will use this!

Steamfresh-blah blah, same as last time. Still, I’ll keep it because I love the frozen steamable rice.

Next several pages……….very boring……..won’t use any of them………what a slow week!

Colgate/Target coupon-stack with a mfr coupon for add’l savings. Target’s policy is to take one store coupon and one mfr coupon PER ITEM.

Physician’s Formula-CVS and Rite Aid have been running deals on this lately, and at both, you can use one coupon per item on a bogo sale.

$0.55 off Edge will double to $1.10 at the grocery stores, where this is often on sale for $1.50. $0.40 per can isn’t bad, too bad they don’t put the $0.75 coupons in anymore.

Razors-unfortunately it’s hard to get a free razor these days, but they can still be gotten for $1 or so. Keep your eyes open (I’ll post it if I see it) at Walgreen’s, CVS and Rite Aid.

Mitchum-this keeps showing up on my Acme e-savings for $1.50 off each one, and I can combine that with this $0.75 coupon (doubled) for another $1.50 off. At $3 savings, you’d think this would equal almost free deodorant, but it’s like $5 or $6 regular price! Gah, keep watching for sales and I’ll post it if I see it.

Lysol-this went on a huge sale last year at Acme around this time. And both of those coupons are $1 off ONE, so hopefully we’ll see it again this year.

Rayovac-Superfresh always puts Rayovac on sale for $1, so this will mean FREE batteries. I saw some there on clearance, last week, the bigger 8-count packs, for $1.62. So this would be really cheap batteries after $1 off!

Airwick-I’m a Glade/Febreze girl. I can always find those two things for next to nothing or free, so I usually stick with those two brands.

some printable links, some not posted, some help at CVS

I got a bunch of email with printables in it, so thought I’d share. These won’t necessarily be on the public or manufacturers’ public sites.

$0.75 off ANY Johnson & Johnson baby product (def going to look for cheap items under $2 at Acme or Superfresh; this should double to $1.50 at those stores)

And in case you want to go to Kmart for the SCJohnson deal which includes Glade:
Glade Scented Oil Lasting impressions, $3
