Kellogg's/Keebler sale at Acme (Supervalu), Aug 5-11

I’m going to do this portion of the ad separately, will do other ad highlights in a separate post. Check your Supervalu store and maybe they are doing the same promo (Albertson’s, Jewel, Osco, etc.).

First, get your Kellogg’s printables here. Kellogg’s coupons were also in the 7/10 and 7/24 inserts. Keebler was those same inserts. I’m not going to do specific matchups because there are so many products and so many variations of the coupons. But at the very least, you should be able to get an additional $0.50 off each item, because I think $1/2s were the lowest value put out. Hopefully your region scores lots of $0.75/1s, then you’ll be getting stuff for $0.38!

Also, I’ve seen on hotcouponworld that peelies, tearpads and try-me-free rebates have been spotted in stores. Look for special endcap displays and such. Don’t be shy–take a quick stop in your local other grocery store, see if they have booklets out or something. Last year, Giant had these big cardboard school buses that had awesome coupon booklets in them. Readers–if you see them, let us know!

Here are the items for $1.88. Must buy 6 items to get the $1.88 price. In the past, these deals have worked in quantities of 6, so you shouldn’t have to split up your orders.

Kellogg’s cereals-Frosted Flakes, Rice Krispies, Froot Loops (we bribe our older son with these in speech therapy, time to stock up!)

12 ct Pop tarts

Pop Tarts mini crisps

Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks (I’m positive the Avondale store has $1/2 tearpads for these!)

Cinnabon bars

Granola Fudge Bars, Keebler

Rice Krispie Treats

Nutri Grain Bars

Wheatables

Toasteds

All Bran Crackers (blech)

Club Crackers

Club Cracker sticks

Keebler EL Fudge or Fudge Shoppe Cookies

Lastly, when you’re shopping for items, scout out what packages are available. There are several different promos going on with Keebler and Kellogg’s–gas cards, movie points and so on. It only takes four boxes of something to get a $5 gas card, so look for those.

Edited, 8/5 to add: Booklets have been spotted! This is what they have:

Walmart testing double coupons

*Hot* news from the web–Walmart testing double coupons in select areas. This will be HUGE if it goes national. I’ve read that they are doubling coupons up to $0.99 in face value, and double it up to $1. That means the $0.75/1s will be worth $1.00. For those of you near me, we already get true doubles at most of grocery stores–Acme, Superfresh and Genuardi’s, and Giant will do one like coupon per transaction. But if Walmart joins this game, it’s going to change the playing field, imo. For some reason, right now, they are only doing it on Tuesdays. Go figure.

Here is the list of areas participating:

Madison, Ohio

Charleston, West Virginia

Utah County, Utah ( 7 stores)

Huntington, West Virginia

Wayne, West Virginia

Findlay, Ohio

No coupons? No problem! Week of 7/31

If you don’t like to clip coupons, they stay tuned for this weekly feature. Well, I say I’m going to do it weekly, and then I usually do it 2-3 times per month. I try!

There are still plenty of good deals to be had for those who aren’t interested in clipping coupons. My picks for this week are:

Target: Raging hot clearance event going on right now. I would expect it to be very well picked over, but if you like to poke & hunt around clearance sales, then this is for you. What you do find will be 75-80% off.

Dollar General: Offering an in-store coupon this week for $3 off 3 Kellogg’s items. That will make some cereals and Pop-tarts $1-$1.50 per box. Not bad!

Kmart: Another store doing a huge clearance event. Again, have to be in the mood to poke around and look, but if you find your sizes, expect to pay $1-$2 for clothing items.

Walgreens: Great week at Walgreens, even if you don’t clip coupons. Several items are giving back the same amount in Register Rewards that they cost. Look for Crayola markers, contact lens solution, Goody hair accessories and more. Check your store flyer and load up. Get your RRs, then turn around and spend them on what you need. Or, hang on to them for a week or so and see if new rolling opportunities come up.

CVS: Only one little freebie–Skinny Cow candy is $0.99, get $0.99 back in Extra Bucks. Limit one.

Acme: Chance to double dip on the Pampers/P&G catalina. The P&G is spend $20, get $5. The Pampers are $19.99, so you’ll need a small P&G filler, see ad. Pay roughly $20.xx, you should get a $5 and a $2 back. $13 for the big box of diapers is decent, imo, but do the math to see how much per diaper-just to be sure.

Staples: lots of good back to school deals, including several penny items.
