deals I’m doing at Acme this week~Oct 5 ad

I know that Heather already did some matchups, but since we’re not doing full matchups for all the stores anymore, trying this. Each week, I’m going to try highlight what I’m going to get and put it in scenario format. I have to go to Acme today, because I don’t have time on Saturday, won’t want to go on Sunday. So today it is! Here’s what I’m eyeing up:

Nestle morsels at $1.99-time to stock up for holiday baking! Lots of good coupons in 9/9 inserts, will make them $0.99-$1.24 each. I have a great biscotti recipe that I love for the holidays.

Nestle printable

Kellogg’s offer-buy 4, get a $3 milk catalina. Total for four boxes of Kellogg’s and milk is about $15.96. Lots of coupons for this (below). If you like the frosted mini wheats (we do), there are $0.70 printables. Printing 2 of those and the $1 off 2, I can do: $15.96-$1.40-$1.40-$1.00-$3.00 (catalina)= $9.16 for four boxes of cereal and a gallon of milk, not bad!

Hatfield meats offer-buy a 6 lb ham (this will be about $24, at $3.99/lb), get a free pork loin filet. Use this $1 printable. I’ll use the tenderloin now, save ham in freezer for holidays. We’re sort of ham snobs. This is more than I’d like to pay, but we really just don’t like the cheaper stuff and it doesn’t get eaten. I also have a big post on ways to repurpose leftover ham, so if you want to use it now, that post has many options.

Betty Crocker-$4 for two items (cookie mix and frosting/icing) and a Hershey’s candy. Now, I’m hoping to use a coupon on the Hershey’s free item, just like I’m going to try to use one on the free Hatfield item. It *should* go through, because  the register only knows that I bought the item, doesn’t realize it’s free. And, there’s no wording on any of the coupons that prohibit it. But, I’m going to buy 4 BC items, get 2 free Hershey’s, starting at $8. Use two $0.50/1s for the cookie mix, use this $0.85/2 printable from the BTFE website and the $1/2 Hershey’s coupon from 9/9 (fits in weight restrictions on package). So, $8-$4.70=$3.30 for those 6 items! ETA: This is limit one, so I only got one bag of $3.50 candy for free. So either do the deal just once, or double it and get two bags of Hershey’s Halloween candy for $2.50, or $1.25 each, reg price is $3.50+.

Adding: Nabisco items are $2 each, must buy 5. I had $1 off 2 insert coupons, so I got 5 for $8. I got a bunch of Oreos, because there’s a holiday baking item I use them in.
