The big news around here is that there’s a hurricane a-comin! I’m trying not to buy into all the media hype about it, but (hangs head in shame) I probably will pick up an extra gallon or two of milk. It’s the mom in me, just can’t help myself. But, if you’re stuck inside for a few days due to the storm, hopefully you’ll at least still have electricity and internet. Who is ready for the weekend? Me! Me! Of course my husband has class all day Saturday, so it will feel like a weekday to us. But Sunday is our annual family pumpkin patch day plus in the evening I have an outing planned with friends. I once read that October 4 and 5 are among the most popular birthdays in this country. Know why? Count backwards and guess where you land? New Year’s Eve. There’s a bit of trivia you didn’t need, huh? But I bet if you look at your Facebook profile today and tomorrow, you have a few friends with birthdays. And now you know why, sorry for burning an unfortunate image in your brain, if that’s what I did.
