{Review and Giveaway} A Laurie Berkner Christmas CD

We are just Laurie Berkner crazy in this house! Are you? We’ve been listening to her stuff for over 5 years, since Kevin was a baby. So when I received the press release that she (finally!) came out with a Christmas CD, my first question was to ask about giving some away to my readers. So here we are!

It could be yours, enter!

I will say, I just got mine yesterday and I’m less than thrilled about talking about Christmas with my kids. I wanted to wait until after Thanksgiving, but my 3 year old is already asking about it, so why not? We listened to our new CD in the car yesterday, on our way to & from West Chester for an PT appointment at Quest Therapeutics. It was perfect because it was already dark out, so they were focused on the music.

In a few words, we just love it! I can tell this is going to be a holiday staple in our household even as they get bigger. I love that she chose songs that we can sing along to. It’s not obscure songs that no one knows the words to. And it’s in typical LB fashion, fun, folksy, and very youth-oriented without being annoying. We just LOVED Candy Cane Jane! This album is a perfect addition to any family holiday collection–it’s simple and classic and traditional, but not boring.

You can listen to samples here, grab some downloads or buy some for friends. (or come back and purchase, if you’re not a winner)

We have some of her DVDs which I love too. I like to put them on the TV instead of regular TV, because both of my boys sing and dance when they are on, which is a much better alternative to watching TV, and I get a few moments to clean or shower. I hope she comes out with a DVD to accompany this.

Our favorites? Well, I don’t know that we have one yet. And knowing my kids, it will change daily. I like the three original tracks she has on there, they are not sticking in my head just yet. If I had to pick one that I think I’ll be singing, it will be “Christmas is coming.” But the originals that she put on there are a nice change. I know we’ll be using this CD quite heavily over the next several weeks. I am just thrilled that I get to give some away to my readers. I have one for each site, new entry form below. I will pick a winner and contact you with the email address you used to enter. Please respond within 48 hours or another is chosen. Good luck!

Have a Winning Weekend~weekly blog giveaway linkup, weekend of November 2

Happy Weekend! It’s coming! First, I want to let everyone who has been affected by the storm earlier this week, that we are thinking of you even if you can’t read this. My heart just aches when I view all the devastation and destruction. Philly Social Media Moms are working hard to organize donation drives and stuff, and I’m sure many other people are too. Hang in there, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now, brighter days are ahead.

Now, on to this week’s giveaways. Have fun, good luck, and let us know if you win.

See those two handsome boys over there—>
They’re mine!

That is the holiday card we sent out last year, courtesy of Tiny Prints. Gorgeous, isn’t it? What I love about their stuff is that there’s no doubt it’s a holiday card, but it’s not obnoxiously bright red and green either. Tiny Prints has so many options for holiday photo cards, and you don’t even realize that I didn’t use a holiday photo. Gone are the days of tacky holiday photos in Christmas sweaters made into equally obnoxious and tacky cards! Tiny Prints has such an awesome collection of everything you need for the holidays-they offer religious options for several religions, pet themed cards and more.

Don’t just take my word for it, see for yourself. Visit their site by the link I gave you or click on my holiday card to see all of what they have to offer.

And, to make it even better, one lucky reader is going to win a $50 gift card to Tiny Prints. From now through November 11, you can use the various entry options in Rafflecopter and I’ll pick one lucky winner and announce it on Monday the 12th. Code not valid on shipping and handling or with any other codes. One entry option worth 5 points is to watch this video, so here you go:

**Please note, this is in no way meant to be disrespectful or callous in light of recent national events. I know that many Americans are suffering and have suffered losses this week. This is only meant to be fun and a nice distraction to view pretty things instead of destruction.
