Dollar General-WOW savings & matchups

No weekly ad this week. Some highlights from the WOW savings which go until the 14th. No 5/25 deal or anything, but there is a 30% off home decor coupon for this weekend. Link to DG printables, including the 30% off one, at end of post.

7UP, AW, Sundrop, Sunkist 12 pks- 3 for 10, no coupons in database
Angel Soft 24 roll-$10; $1 off one printable
Sparkle 8 roll-$8;
Coupon in 2/13 inserts for $2 off wyb both the Sparkle and the Angel soft-so $16 for both, not too bad.
Ziploc value packs-$3 (doesn’t give count, I wish it did!)
Coupons from 1/31 and 2/13 inserts, can’t tell if it’s a decent price since no count is on flyer

Suavitel-$3 (I hate the way this smells and won’t take it even if it’s free), 2/27 inserts

Purex 150 oz-$7.50; $1 off ones in 2/20 inserts, ok price since it’s the big bottle; I prefer other brands but would use this to wash our car/dog towels & stuff

Lady Speed Stick or SS-$2, $.50 off one, 2/27 inserts

Glade candles-$2.50 (same price at CVS this week I think, only theirs is ecb deal too) 2/6 and 2/27 inserts; but decent price after coupons if you don’t want to deal with ECBs; printables up top in coupons.com bar

Prego-3 for 5 1/2 inserts

Red Bull 4 packs-$5.75

Coffeemate 16 oz-2.50

M&Ms-2.65

Garnier gel cleanser or towelettes-$4.50, that’s a good price, but it will probably come around on an extra buck deal at CVS-but not everyone wants to deal with extra buck; 3/6 inserts

Garnier skin renew brusher gel cleanser-$5.75, I got this free at CVS a few weeks ago and love it. 3/6 inserts

And don’t forget to check the DG printables before you go. There are store coupons to be matched/stacked with mfr coupons (they say store coupon on the website, if you look at them, not positive though):

save $2 wyb scott towels AND windex, scrubbing bubbles or pledge; 3/6 inserts, printable, printable,

save $2 wyb any 2 airwick white collection, printables, 3/6 inserts

Dollar General changing coupon policy (maybe)

Some shoppers have been reporting in to hotcouponworld that they’ve been having some coupon trouble quite recently at Dollar General. Apparently, in some regions, they are implementing the policy that they will no longer accept any coupons if it makes the item free.

In other words, no more–
free Olay body wash with the $2 coupons
free Gain with the $3 coupons
free dental floss and toothbrushes with the $1 coupons

and so on………

So far it appears to only be happening in the midwest, but who knows. Just don’t be totally surprised, or have a plan B, if you get shot down. Hmph, how annoying. The store gets reimbursed from the manufacturers, so I don’t understand what the big deal is.

In any event, I will do the DG coupon matchups later.

Saturday errand picks for 2/26, 20% off at Ace & more

Running errands this Saturday?

Ace Hardware is having one of their “everything that fits in this bag” is 20% off sales. See your local store for details.

Locals-the Unionville book sale is on today, fill a bag for $8 starting at 3 pm.

Today is last day to use the 50% off ‘domestics’ at Dollar General.

Running into Target? Try to plan it for between 9-11 am and you can take the kids to the story time.

Of course, locals can come to my coupon class at the library in Kennett at 9:30.

After lunch, we’re going to Borders–where they are having an Elmo birthday party at 2 pm. (Thanks to reader Colleen for the tip!)
