I had a pretty good 2 days at the CVS sale. I increased my ECBs and got lots of stuff too. Yesterday I stopped in at the Landenberg location on my way home from work, to pick up a few more moneymaker items. They were out of most everything at that point, so I asked for rainchecks. I was told they will no longer be issuing rainchecks for 2-day sale items. That’s a bummer.
no inserts today; P&G rebate offer
There are no coupons in today’s paper. This is very common on holiday weekends. There may or may not be inserts next Sunday. Some of the coupon boards are saying “no” there won’t be, but I think there will be another P&G insert.
Speaking of Proctor & Gamble, last week they included a rebate offer in their coupon booklet. Spend $5o on any P&G items, send your receipts in with rebate form, get a $120 value coupon booklet. Eh. I’m not so excited about it. I’ve seen special discussion threads dedicated to this on HCW and other coupon boards.
If there are freebie deals out there, throughout the month of January, that I can hit my $50 threshhold, great. I’ll do it and send it in. But I’m not going to go out of my way (or out of my pocket) to spend $50 on Proctor & Gamble items when for the most part, those are very expensive items and I don’t really need anything. But maybe CVS or Walgreen’s will do a Pampers deal in January which will allow me to get to $50 pretty easily.
new CVS ad-good news, bad news
When it rains good deals, it pours. After a few slow weeks, this one looks good. First, the good news. Get your ad and check out pages 3 and 17 for tons of “free after ECB” items. Great stuff and high limits, like 5! And if you check your coupon holders, I’m sure you have lots of corresponding coupons like I do–for Listerine, Arm & Hammer, L’oreal and more.
Now the bad news. They are all only Sunday/Monday deals which doesn’t give us much time and frankly stresses me out a bit. I want to roll all of the ECBs I got on Black Friday weekend, and this is the perfect opportunity to do it. Except that I have 1000 other things to do because it’s the last weekend before Christmas. And the weather people are calling for some type of ice/sleet/snow messy mix on Sunday.
I hope to cash in on these deals and walk away with lots of free stuff and hopefully enough moneymakers that I will actually increase my ECBs. It’s just finding the time to do it. I don’t even have my tree up yet! Or have any presents wrapped, or have my cards sent…….
still slow……..
Still no deals to get excited over.
CVS-new ad starts tomorrow. If you have ECBs that you need to roll over and cannot wait until next week, there are a few ‘free after ECB’ items. But they stink, nothing I’d really want.
Sunday & Monday only
Nova Max glucometer/monitor $9.99
EARinse $9.99
Sleep MD $7.99
All of the above are free after ECBs and limit 1
All Week
Contour Monitor $14.99 get a $5.00 ECB (limit 1)
Colgate Total Advanced $2.99 get a $2.00 ECB (limit 2)
ACME
Another dud of a week. I’m going to keep my trip small. The only decent deal is the Kellogg’s cereal. $1.67 a box, must buy 3. If you have any of the $1 off one coupons left, only $0.67 a box. These coupons were in the inserts a few weeks ago and I believe they expire 12/31, so I guess I’ll use up whatever I have.
Walgreen’s
Today is the last day for this week’s spend $25 get $5 RR. I’ve done this deal twice. Buy the Arm & Hammer detergent that is advertised with an in-store coupon on the back of the ad. The detergent is $6.99, but then with coupon, only $1.99 and there is a $1 off one coupon available on the A&H website. The best part is that $6.99 will count towards your $25 total. Then when you hand them the coupon, the register takes $5 off for each one. The site will let you print 2 coupons.
