*free* and possible moneymaker on Hallmark cards CVS this week, October 21 ad

I was just putting together a Glade scenario and I found this! You have to look really hard–when you open your ad, on the inside front page, way down in bottom left corner. It’s easy to miss!

“Get $3 in Extra Care Bucks when you buy 3 Hallmark products.” Woot! You know they have cards for $0.99, right? So three of those=$2.97, with $3 back. But wait, is there a coupon to make this even better? Why yes, there is!

You have to be on Facebook. It’s on their Facebook page, and it probably will run out of prints. It’s for $2 off any 3-card Hallmark purchase! Can’t wait, mine is hitting the printer right now and I’ll go tomorrow.

Have fun with this one, we haven’t seen good freebies like this in a while.

deals I’m doing at CVS this week, week of October 14

Ok, getting started a bit late this week, but I have a coupon for a free flu shot that expires tomorrow. I’ve been waiting to use it, because I wanted to combine trips and get some stuff while I was there. But now since the coupon is worth about $30 and it expires tomorrow, I definitely have to go. Looking at the ad, this is what I’m going to do.

Starting out, I have $5 ECBs from a CVS Advisory Panel survey and $1 in ECBs from my quarterly earnings (two Rx).

Going to do first:

Physicians Formula-spend $10, get $7 ECB. Most items are $11-$12. I want new eyeliner and there’s also a $1 off 1 coupon from 8/12 inserts that I probably have in my binder.

Pay about $5 out of pocket, get $7 ECB.

Second:

Duracell, spend $15, get $5 ECB. $1 coupons in 9/30 inserts. The AA and AAAs are $4 each.

Buy 4=$16, use four $1 coupons, plus my $7 ECB. Pay $5 for 4 packs of Duracell, get $5 back in ECB.

That will be it, will hang on to my $5 ECBs.
