December 26 sales

My kids are napping, my dad and stepmother have gone home (or on to their next house for celebrating) so I had a few minutes to relax and check email. I’m trying to plan my attack for tomorrow. This is traditionally one of my most favorite shopping days–I love it much more than Black Friday. I really miss the days when my SIL lived here, and every year we’d go to King of Prussia on 12/26 in the early am.  She’s in Denver now :( so that tradition ended.

Eddie Bauer is doing 50% off everything.

I’ve seen ads–both print and online, for all the big department stores and they all are offering deep discounts. Macy’s also has a printable shopping pass. Lord & Taylor is also offering gift cards to the first 300 customers at each store (opens at 8). Bloomingdales has always been a big score for me. And according to online reports (Yahoo) Target is beginning their big toy clearance tomorrow. Ugh! I really don’t like them starting it tomorrow instead of January. Much as I like to be able to score cheap stuff for birthday gifts, December 26 is just too soon for me! I am NOT ready to buy any toys tomorrow, even if they are 50-75% off.

Don’t forget the more offbeat places like Dollar General, Big Lots, Hallmark stores and places like that. If you need Christmas wrap and those cheap goodies, good places to check. The whole world will be at Target & Walmart, you may want to check out the smaller spots.

I think I’m going to head to Brinton Lake and hit Eddie Bauer, plus we still have our Eversave certificate for Ruby’s, so we can do a family lunch or dinner there.

Last minute gifts + other things you need!

Shop at Walmart online, then do in-store pick up. Good Luck!

NOOK Color by Barnes and Noble

I could really use this–but not in the mood to run out. Great price though! My other one crashed & collapsed just a few weeks ago, but it was 10+ years old and beat up. Mainstays 5 Piece Card Table and Chair Set, Black

Apple iPad 2 with Wi-Fi (Black, 32GB)

$99 tablets

Here is an assortment of tablets being offered by Walmart, for around $99. Be careful when choosing! Make sure you double check on quality, ratings, memory and capabilities, so that you’re not disappointed. $99 is a great price for a tablet if it does all the things you want it to do, and you can be a bit more permissive with it and children (as opposed to a $600 ipad) and not worry. But if it doesn’t do the apps that you want, there’s no point in getting it. Click picture to see more.

World of Warcraft: Battlechest + bonus game for $14.96!

It’s a bonus buy right now from Walmart. My kids are too young for this, but $15 for two games seems like a good deal to me, if your kids are into it. Click image to see more.
