Walgreen’s: $10 off $40 and double dip days

My Walgreen’s trip today

Remember when I posted that I went to the grand opening in Hockessin and got my $25 gift card? I used it today.

Transaction one:
6 jars of Ragu
2 Mega packs of diapers
$26.28 after coupons, used $25 gc and $1.28 cash
Got back $4 RR for ragu

Transaction two:
2 bottles of tide
Used $1 coupon and $4 RR, $1.06 final total

So not bad for $2.34. Here’s the thing, dummy me forgot her $5 off $20 coupon, even after blogging about it. The cashier did say that I can bring it back tomorrow and get credit for it, with my receipt, so I may do that, since I want to hit the Staples deals anyway. Hopefully they will load the $5 back on to my gc, which I held on to. That would mean I actually came out ahead.

My school starts Monday, so I wanted to use up any outstanding things I have at Walgreen’s as I’ll have less time to go there.

$5 off $20 at Walgreen’s

Here is a link to print a coupon for $5 off a $20 purchase at Walgreen’s. This $20 total must be your total AFTER all coupons and Register Rewards. But there are some more expensive Register Reward deals that might make this worthwhile. The Ragu/Skippy deal is 6 items for $10, get $4 RR back. And there’s a Slim Fast deal if you use that, that has RR–check the store for specific details.

Coupon good today & tomorrow only.

Happy Harry’s in Hockessin-Grand Opening

Happy Harry’s in Hockessin–say that three times fast! It’s the new one at 41 & Brackenville Road. They are having their grand opening deals right now. Normally I wouldn’t go out of my way for something like this, but I had to pick some things up at my vet, who also is on Brackenville Road, so I was going that way anyway. I also still had some RRs to use and needed water to take to the beach.

Here are the deals, pick up a circular at front of store:

$3 off a $10 purchase-coupon on front of circular. You can use this coupon before your mfr coupons, so it’s a good deal. exp 8/16

$25 gift card with a new or transferred prescription; other pharmacies will often take competitors’ coupons, so even if you don’t use it there, save it and consider using it elsewhere. I know CVS takes competitors’ coupons. I had a prescription to fill anyway, and it has no co-pay, so it was a free $25 for me. Coupon expires 8/30.

20 FREE 4×6 prints from your digital camera, exp 8/9

FREE DVD–transfer a home video that you have on VHS to DVD for free. exp 8/9

Here’s what I got:
7.69 pack of 40 diapers (on clearance)
2.99 Glade pet odor remover
3.99 case of water
1.25 mesh bag full of rubber ducks (Kevin is in a rubber duck phase because of Ernie)
0.00 prescription
15.92 total
minus
$3 off $10 coupon
$1.50 Glade printable
$1.50 Glade coupon from Walgreen’s booklet
$5.00 register rewards
$4.92 final total
Got back: $25 Walgreen’s gift card, plus a catalina coupon for four FREE 8×10 photos
Oh, and it isn’t my intent to keep this Rx at this location. When it’s time to refill it again, I’ll look for another transfer coupon and get another gift card to transfer it back to my regular pharmacy.
