Robitussin/Dimetapp deal at Walgreen’s

I missed this deal the first time around. Dimetapp and Robitussin is on sale for 3.99. Buy 3, get $10RR. (Buy 2, get $5RR, but 3 is the better deal!)

Use your $2 Printable.

3.99 X 3 = 11.97. Minus three $2 coupons, $5.97. Get $10 back!

If you have kids or grandkids, this is a good way to get started on “rolling” Walgreen’s Register Rewards or participating in their monthly rebate program, as $10 goes a long way to a savvy Walgreen’s shopper.

Back in the game

The Kmart deals yesterday were just the boost I needed to get energized about this again. I had great trips at CVS, Walgreen’s and Peebles. I also finally got around to sorting some receipts I had in a drawer and I am due $12 from Caregiver’s Marketplace in Huggies rebates (I’m getting back $12 for diapers I’ve never paid for!), plus a free big box of Crayons from Frigo cheese. I love a good bargaining day, and this has been a great bargaining 2 days.

Walgreens:
11.94 6 tubes of crest, 6 x 1.99
11.94 6 Oral B toothbrushes, 6 x 1.99
1.99 Glade candle
4.99 Schick razors

The coupons
6.00 crest coupons from Proctor & Gamble insert, 6 x 1.00
6.00 crest coupons from Walgreen’s booklet 6x 1.00
6.00 Oral B coupons from P&G insert, 6 x 1.00
6.00 Oral B coupons from Walgreen’s booklet, 6 x 1.00
1.00 Glade mfr coupon
2.00 Schick razor manufacturer’s coupon
2.00 Schick coupon from Walgreen’s booklet

Total: $2.18; deals good thru Saturday. No, I didn’t need toothbrushes or toothpaste, but it always seems all the deals are Colgate which we don’t like. So now I’m going to give away the free Colgate I have and keep the Crest.

CVS-same transaction on both cards. I know, I just posted I wasn’t going to go there, but I was already at the Walgreen’s on 41, so I figured why not.
2.29 vitamin water
4.98 Always pads
0.99 Colgate toothbrush
2.99 Colgate toothpaste
1.58 CVS brand pretzels 2 x 0.79
5.99 Soleil razor refills

Coupons-
1.00 Colgate toothbrush
1.50 Colgate toothpaste
1.00 Soleil blades (from inside Soleil razor pkg, previous purchase)
1.00 1.00 off 2 CVS brand snacks

Subtotal
$18.xx, then 13.xx after coupons, after using $ 12.79 in ECBs that I already had–final balance was $3.03, used Rx transfer gift card to pay that.
Earned ECBs: $4.00 Soleil, $4.98 Always, $2.29 Vitamin water, $2.00 Colgate, so 11.79 ecbs spent, 13.27 earned. Deals good thru Saturday. The pretzel coupon came from scanning my card under the in-store scanners, be sure to hit them! Both the Landenberg and Kennett stores have one, near the magazines. Jennersville does not have one yet.

Peebles:
I found several cute shirts for Kevin on the clearance rack, $3 each or so. I also found 2 items I planned to give as xmas gifts, so I don’t want to say what they are. They were regularly priced items with 30% off. When I went to pay, the cashier said if I opened a Peebles charge today, I would get another 25% off 2 items and 10% off my entire order. Plus I had my 15% internet printable. So my two xmas gift were regularly priced, minus 30%, minus 25% off that, then another 10% then another 15%. The three clearanced shirts for Kevin were already clearanced to $3.60, minus 10% and minus 15%. When all was said & done, I had planned on paying about $60 for my items and it came to $36. Cashier did not know how long this deal would last. I don’t normally do this–get credit cards at stores. But I am starting to like Peebles more & more, and it’s close, and I have heard that they send out coupons to cardholders frequently, which may help me with the holidays coming.

Find your Walgreen’s ad for Sept 28-Oct 4

Ok, I just glanced over the ad when it came in the mail last week. But the ad itself is getting a ton of discussion action on hotcouponworld. So I need to check it out.

Yesterday we all got P&G inserts in our papers, hope you still have them. There are several P&G register reward deals going on. I haven’t studied the details just yet, but my plan is to spend $10-$15 on P&G products, perhaps even the toothbrushes, so that I can then earn at least $14 in RR. With that RR, I will then do the Huggies deal, generate another $3 and probably go back and get more RR from P&G items.

After Kevin goes to be tonight, I’ll study the ad more and post some details. Until then, check out the discussion link. Yes there are 50 thank yous you have to weed through, but good info to be found.

Caregivers Marketplace

One of the rebate programs I participate in is Caregivers Marketplace. It’s a rebate program for lots of different brands, see their eligible list. I only ever get rebates for Huggies, but they give me $1 back for each pack I buy. Not bad, considering I only ever pay for them with ECBs in the first place. Cottonelle is one of the participating brands too, and I’ve gotten free stuff at Walgreen’s then submitted the rebates. Nothing like getting paid to shop.

Website is here. Registration is free and it’s very easy to do. And like my other rebate checks, it’s a nice surprise to get in the mail.
