Walgreen’s $5 off $20 coupon

Good today and tomorrow only, print yours here.

Remember the $20 has to be after all other coupons, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still find good deals. Here’s what I did (prices are rounded):

$10 4 boxes of Kelloggs cereal at 2.50 each
$15 1 tube of L’oreal moisturizer (check monthly booklet to make sure you get correct one)
$10 Pampers

$35 total, Minus:
$1 pampers coupon (got in mail, though there are insert ones out there)
$4 kelloggs coupons (4 x $1, this past Sunday’s papers)
$1 l’oreal coupon (recent insert)

$29 new total
gave my $5 off $20 coupon

Final total came to $24.xx, paid with a $25 Rx transfer check I had.
Got about $0.40 back.

And……….
$1 RR for Pampers
$2 RR for Kelloggs
$14.99 + $1.49 on a wags gift card, L’oreal monthly rebate
$10 Kelloggs rebate.

Not bad, for not having spent any money, I’m getting $19.50 back plus all the merchandise.

clearance makeup at Walgreen’s

Walgreen’s currently has a bunch of makeup on clearance. Almay & Revlon mostly, but some other brands too. Look for the bright orange hangtags. The Almay is also buy 1 get 1 at 50% off, but mine did not ring up that way–though other shoppers have reported theirs did. Check your coupon binders for coupons for these brands too. I still had some of the $2 Revlon coupons and I found some very cool eyeshadow reduced to $2.59, so only $0.59 after the coupon!

Think of stocking stuffers too!

Slow week coming up

On Wednesdays I get my weekly ads in the mailbox for the following week. Overall looks like a slow week, but I like slow weeks once in a while, to take a break.

The Giant ad is a bust, imo, not going there.

Walgreen’s–don’t see anything that warrants a special trip. Celestial Seasonings tea is free with recent mfr coupon and wags coupon. But for some reason I only have one mfr coupon and I went thru all my inserts. Schick Quattro razors are also a good deal if you have any bogo coupons left and combine it with monthly booklet coupon. But I’m not making a special trip for razors.

Kmart–I need a break. I did two trips this weeks. Yesterday I got about $50 worth of stuff for $7 so I was pleased. More of the same-Vaseline intensive care lotion, dove hair care, Glade, some candy for Friday (on sale 3 for $5, use the $1 off 3 coupon to make them 3 for $3), had a Capri Sun catalina from Acme for $1 so my capri sun was $0.50.

CVS–The November monthly deals start and there is a Pampers deal. I’d like to get some Pampers but not sure I have enough ECBs. Have to work on this one. Other than the Pampers, nothing warrants a special trip, imo.

Acme-check out the back page of the ad. There’s a combination deal of General Mills products and Unilever–spend $30 get $15 back. This deal I’ll probably do as part of my weekly shopping trip. There are dozens of items included, and I figure that I can spend $30, then with coupons get my total down to about $17 or $18, and get $15 back. I’m pretty sure there are coupons out there for just about every item listed, so compare your coupons against the list. I’m hoping that this catalina will roll, so I’ll do a transaction, then use my $15 cat to turn around and do it again and hopefully get another one. Don’t forget to go to eatbetteramerica and get any GM printables you may need.

slow week at Walgreen’s

I found $9 in RR in my purse that were going to expire this week. I really hadn’t planned on going. I wanted to go to Kmart this week and that’s it. But my inner miser will never allow me to trash $9, so………….here’s what I did

4.50 pedialyte
4.50 pedialyte
0.67 clearanced sandwich bags
Used
-1.50 pedialyte
-1.50 pedialyte
-4.00 or -5.00 RR (did this transaction twice)

Paid $1.71 and $2.71 for the transactions, got $2 RR back each time. Not fantastic, but $4 for a four quarts of Pedialyte is a great price and I have another $4RR. It’s normally over $5 a quart. And I’ll be glad that I have it on hand when illness strikes.
