Free/MM Almay deal at Walgreen’s

Grab th $2 Almay coupon from yesterday’s paper and head on over to Walgreen’s. There appears to be a deal when you buy two Almay products, get $7 in Register Rewards. One of the nice things about Walgreen’s is that clearance items usually work for RR deals, and there is plenty of Almay on clearance. So get two items, use the $2 coupons to get it really cheap, hopefully less than $7 for both items, and get $7 back.

I’ve seen this deal listed on several boards on the web, so I wouldn’t expect any Almay inventory to last for long. I also have not read which items are not working, so try at your own risk. Good luck!

any Sunday must-do deals?

Tomorrow starts a new ad at stores like CVS, Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, Kmart and Target. If I wanted some freebies and wanted to be sure I got them, tomorrow I would go out and get:

Lightbulbs at Rite Aid, pay 1.99, get 1.99 in UPs rewards back. Limit is 3 or 6, I’ve read both online, so purchase that 4th one at your own risk. The light bulbs are the only straight freebie (without coupons or rebates) item they are offering, so I would either save those UPs for next week, or look at ad and roll into something I need.

Crest mouthwash at CVS is 3.99 with 3.99 back in Extra Care Bucks. Use the $1 coupon from P&G inserts or home mailers to make it a smaller moneymaker. This is the only ‘free after ecb’ item this week. So either save them or roll them into something you need. May I suggest you look closely at the Coke deal that is running, if you need/use Coke products.

Walgreens: if you have the coupons for Maalox and Gas X from 12/12 and 1/9, it’s a moneymaker deal, as high as $5 profit on each Register Rewards transaction. Men’s Nivea is free after Register Reward and coupon in paper (tomorrow’s).

Kmart & Target: nothing fantastic. I’ve gone over the Gift Card deals that Target is doing with the diapers, but I don’t see a way to get them cheap. I don’t see any good matchups with combining the Target printables on their website with mfr coupons either. Maybe the Garnier, if you can find some on clearance.

Dollar General-5/25 printable and matchups, cheaps & possible free Palmolive

Dollar General has some printables on it’s website, including a $5 off $25 coupon, good only for this coming Saturday, 1/22.

Unfortunately, they deduct all of your other mfr coupons first, then do the 5/25. I wish it was the other way around, but no luck. So you have to plan on spending $20 at DG, plus tax. That doesn’t mean that they’re aren’t good deals to be had; we can figure it to get a lot of stuff for our $20. Some matchups:

Post cereals-$2 box, there’s a $1 off 2 out there right now, use $3 as your calculating price because you’ll have to purchase them in pairs. From the 1/9 papers.

Mott’s-mentioned this yesterday-either 1.75 or 1.50 as your calculating price; I’ve done lots of searches and am unable to come up with any coupons.

Ziploc-$2 each; lots of coupons for this ranging in value from $0.50 off per box to $1.25 per box; from last week’s inserts

SCJohnson products: Not just ziploc, but all the products in the SCJ family are on sale and there was a ton of coupons in last week’s paper: Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles, Glade, Pledge

M&Ms/Mars: DG has a $1/2 printable on it’s site. Look for $1 items in the Valentine’s section, there usually are some, so yours will be $0.50 each. If you don’t find them, I know Walmart has them, and the coupon on the DG site is a mfr coupon, can be used anywhere.

Softsoap handsoap: on sale for $1, use the $0.30 off coupon (which doesn’t double anyway, starts with a 9) from recent inserts, pay $0.70.

Colgate: $3, use $1 coupon from this week; $1 a tube is a good deal if you don’t want to be bothered with the CVS/Walgreen’s/RA games of rolling store tender.

Palmolive: $1, sign up here to get a $1 printable, not sure if this variety is included, but worth a shot! Can also try this $0.55 printable.

Cottonelle: big pack on sale for $5, use this $0.50 printable.

Viva: sale price of $1.75 (not a great price, imo, but Viva is my favorite) and use this printable to make it $3 for two rolls.

My $20 is going to look something like this, keep in mind these prices are AFTER my mfr coupons:

4.50 Cottonelle
2.80 four Softsoap handsoap
7.00 four apple juice
9.00 six applesauce
3.00 two ziplocs (need two boxes of the small bags for BTFE thing at K’s school)

Total $26.30, minus the 5/25-$21.30

I think that’s a good deal for 21 bucks and change.

Walgreen’s…couldn’t find the pens, but…

Still got an almost free deal. FYI-the Avondale store on the corner of Penn Green road does not have the 1.99 pens. I was so looking forward to getting them and giving away all of our ballpoints. I have a decent stockpile of ballpoints, they’re always free around back to school time.

But…Cover Girl makeup is buy one, get one 50% off. And, it works on clearance, and there was a bunch of Cover Girl clearance. And, there was a $2.50 off 2 Cover Girl items in the 12/26 inserts. I got a blush and a mineral powder for $1.94. Go me!
