Diapers & wipes price roundup, week of November 20

Huggies coupons were 11/20, Pampers coupons were 10/30.

My pricing guidelines: anything under $0.15 per diaper or $0.02 per wipe–stock up. I won’t pay $0.03 a wipe unless I have to, won’t pay more than $0.20 a diaper unless I have to.

Acme

In-ad store coupon for $2 off a big box of Huggies or Pullups, makes it $17.99 after store coupon. You should be able to stack with a mfr coupon as well as the $2 Saving Star if you haven’t used it yet. Big thing of Huggies wipes is $6.29

Amazon- My Amazon pick this week is Luvs. If you pick Subscribe & Save, most sizes work out to be around $0.15 per diaper.

CVS

Big Box of Pampers is $18.99 with $4 back in Extra Care Bucks. Store brand wipes-tubs are 2 for $5. It is also being reported that some are getting a nice $4 coupon from the magic coupon scanner.

Giant

Huggies jumbo packs and big wipes refill are part of a “Spend $30, get $10 off your next order” promo. No prices listed. Will work on sale prices, not shelf prices.

Kmart

Nothing in ad as far as diaper sales, but they are running doubles this week. They also have a loyalty card, but I do not remember if they are included in Saving Star.

Superfresh

Running a $5/$25 catalina offer on P&G items. Should still work on shelf prices (the catalina offer from last week did) and Pampers jumbo packs are included at $9.99 a pack. I do not know what shelf price is. Also includes Luvs at $5.99 a jumbo pack.

Target

Huggies and Pampers jumbo packs are $8.99 each. Buy 3 and get a $5 gift card. Could be a great deal if you have enough of the $3 Huggies coupons!

Walgreens

Big thing of Huggies wipes is $5.99. Huggies Jumbo packs are $9.49 with $2.50 back in Register Rewards. Since Walgreens doesn’t have a card program, no way to stack the Saving Star.

Diapers & Wipes price round up, week of November 6

Here we go, the weekly price round up!

First, as always, the coupons! Last week had the P&G inserts that included Pampers. Huggies was 10/23, and here’s a $2 printable. Huggies, Pampers and Luvs all also do home mailers and other harder to find options. If you have the Walgreens Infant Care booklet, they expire 12/31, so it’s time to stop hoarding those coupons and think about using them. I think I’ve had one booklet left, since March or April, just waiting for the perfect deal.

Here are two SavingStar offers for you to load on to your shopping cards. These rebates can be stacked in addition to sales, coupons and Extra Bucks and stuff like that.

Buy 2 HUGGIES® Baby Wipes (64 ct or larger), Save $1.00.
Expires 12/1/2011.

And, when you go out, if you do purchase Pampers, look for these specially marked packages that have $5 of coupons inside.

diapers, diaper coupons

Now, on to some of the prices. Remember that item counts vary by size of diaper, so you want to use your phone/calculator and figure out how much you’re paying per diaper or wipe. Personally, I prefer to stay at a penny per wipe or less, and won’t pay $0.03 or more unless I’m desperate. Diapers, my kids are in the bigger sizes now, so I aim for $0.15 or less per diaper, definitely under $0.20. More than that, only if absolutely necessary.

Amazon:

Ok, lots of good deals to be found right now, as most of the major brands are offering $2 & $3 clickable coupons. You can only use each coupon once. So, for example, if you buy Pampers and click the $2 coupon, if you buy any other Pampers, you cannot use it again (at least in that account). But you can still go and find a pack of Huggies and use that $3 coupon, but only once.

Here’s what you want to do:

Go to the Amazon diapers and find the brand, variety, count and size of diaper that you want, and while you’re looking at the page, make sure it has a coupon that looks like this:

diaper coupons

Click image to see more Huggies.

If it does, click the coupon to activate it, and, click “Subscribe & Save” to save another 20%. Now, calculate your price per diaper to make sure it’s a decent deal–most of what I’ve found is under $0.20 per diaper which I think is good. Amazon allows you to cancel Subscribe & Save any time after your order has shipped. If you choose the bigger boxes vs the smaller packs, they qualify for FREE shipping too.

Target:

Luvs big packs (66-108 ct) are $16.99

Huggies & Pampers big packs, no counts listed, $19.79

Acme:

Nothing listed, assume full price.

Superfresh:

P&G offer-Purchase $35 in participating products and receive a $20 GC to ESPNSHOP.com. Pampers box at $19.99 and wipes at $2.49 are included in photo.

Walgreens:

W brand premium box-$15.99

Huggies wipes-$4.99

CVS:

Huggies Jumbo packs-$10 (use the $2 printable and the $2 Saving Star, get a pack for $6)

Don’t forget the “Buy 6, get 7th free” ongoing promo. Your tally is on your receipt.

Giant:

Pampers Jumbo packs-$9.99

Huggies promo-spend $25 on participating products, get $7 catalina good for your next grocery purchase. Items included are Huggies jumbo packs at $9.99 and Huggies big wipes refills at $6.49. This could be a really hot deal if Giant is included in Saving Star, I can’t remember, hafta go check! That promo also includes Gerber formula at $19.99.
