clearance at Acme

I was at the Hockessin/Lantana Square Acme today and they had lots of HBA stuff on clearance. Check your coupon binders for:

Aveeno hair (1/9 inserts)
L’oreal (1/2, 1/23 and yesterday)
Suave (yesterday)
Dove (yesterday)
Got2B ( I don’t know of any coupons)
Nexxus (don’t know of any)
Natural Instincts (I used the $2 home mailer coupons, came to $2.49 after coupon!)

Oh the irony!

There are lots of money-saving and coupon and deal blogs out there. I don’t know if one is particularly better than the next, it all really depends on what stores and items you like, and whether or not they mesh with the author.

Last week, several of them were doing posts on coupon fraud. I don’t know what prompted this sudden surge of posting about it; I don’t know of a particular incident that happened.

One thing is for sure–all the deals you find here will be legit. If stores tighten down their policies, I’ll find ways to work around it. Like I said in my Kmart post this week, I enjoy a challenge. If you’re going to use coupons fraudulently to get a deal, well, where is the wisdom in that?

So I find it incredibly ironic, that some of the blogs that posted about coupon fraud this week are now posting about the Neuragen deal at Walgreen’s. What is the Neuragen deal, you ask? Well, don’t worry about it. Because there is no huge moneymaking deal on Neuragen, unless you’re using the coupon against the wording on it. And that’s just not cool, imo. I keep reading on these other blogs, comments from users who are saying “It kept beeping but the cashier pushed it through!” Duh, why do you think it was beeping? Because you’re using it on a product not intended. Walgreen’s may not get reimbursed for it. And at the end of the day, it hurts all of us.

Don’t do it.

Kohl’s deals–let’s stack ’em!

Ok, yesterday I talked about grocery shopping and how I like to stack deals. Same works for shopping online.

First, go to Ebates and register, if you’re not already registered. If you are, you’ll still get 2% back on your Kohl’s purchases. New members will get $5 just for signing up, plus the 2%.

Once you’re in Ebates, go to Kohl’s. Lots of great items and sales, find what you like or need.

Right now they are offering $0.99 shipping and the following-
Use the code WINTER15 to get an add’l 15% off (must use a Kohl’s charge)
Use the code SWEEPS10 get an add’l 10% off (any credit card)

Ok, got all that, now in addition to waiting for your check from ebates, you’re going to earn Kohl’s cash-$10 for every $50 you’ve spent.

I love their Jumping Beans line of clothing for kids, the Bobby Flay stuff and their picture frames. Don’t forget to check out the clearance section too.

Ronzoni Pasta-cheap or free

I forgot to include this in the Acme matchups I did-

Ronzoni pasta is still $1 at Acme, check your local grocer because it’s been $1 most places.
