Red Plum 3/27 inserts; preview & reverse matchups

For a complete list of what is going to be in this Sunday’s Red Plum, click here. Here is some of what will be in it, keep in mind that inserts are regional and your specific coupon values may vary.

Children’s Advil 4 oz or Infants Advil 0.5oz Save $1/1 (5/31)-I have two small kids, I always keep these and will probably use for a Register Rewards or Extra Buck deal, which are semi-frequent.
There are several other Advil coupons listed, I’ll keep them and include them in random envelopes I send out in trades & such, but probably won’t use them. Remember the moneymaker deal on Motrin a few weeks back? Well, I did that one several times over and each time I did, I got a $2 catalina good for ANY Advil. There is an Advil $5/$20 Extra Buck deal at CVS next week.

Alavert no 6 ct Save $1/1 (6/26)-There was a fun deal a few years ago where CVS was paying us to take Alavert off their hands. I think I still have some from then. My hubby did not like this at all and won’t use it. I’ll toss these. But there are always allergy medicine promos in the spring, and Allegra has just been all over the place free & on sale, I’d look for Alavert to start competing with some deals & offers!
Axe-various Axe coupons, including the bogo coupon again. Axe is buy one, get one 50% off at Walgreen’s next week. My friend Sarah can explain exactly how to use a bogo coupon with a bog50% sale at Walgreen’s, I’ll ask her to do a guest post on it. A few months ago Superfresh had a movie ticket/Axe deal, and with the coupons, you spent much much less than what 2 movie tix normally cost, and got your Axe stuff + the movie tickets. I didn’t have time to go and missed the deal, so I hope they run it again.
Ball Park products Save $1/2 (5/25)-eh, hang on to it, you never know. But usually, every spring, Acme & Superfresh just can’t wait to give away the Hebrew National and Oscar Mayer premium hot dogs. If I can get those for free, why would I pay for Ball Park?

Revlon deal at Acme

From March 25 (Friday) until April 21, there is an instant savings deal on Revlon at Acme. Save $5 instantly when you spend $20. I am consistently getting $2 off any Revlon item on my e-savings. There are $1 Revlon coupons in the 3/6 inserts.

Stack the e-savings, the coupons and the instant savings, and you’re looking at paying about $6 for $20-$22 worth of Revlon cosmetics. All we need now is to find a mail in rebate to send in when we get home!

Walgreen’s Photo Books-66% off

Walgreen’s currently is offering their photo books at 66% off. Many of them appear to be around $30, so $10 is a nice price point! Use the code 66CUSTOM at checkout. Deal runs through Saturday.

Walgreen’s photo books

Mothers’ & Fathers’ Day isn’t that far away, think gift ideas. With deals like these, I think that my scrapbooking supplies are going to continue to collect dust.

Update: Walgreen’s Almay deal

I wanted to go to the Walgreen’s at Longwood/Kennett Square. A reader told me that location has the beauty booklets and I was unable to find them at the Avondale store. Sure enough, they do. Sitting right there on the beauty counter. And there are plenty, I only took three or four.

Recap of the Almay deal: Select Almay items are 30% off, and Almay items are producing a $5 Register Reward. There is a $2 Almay coupon in the beauty booklets which can be stacked with Almay manufacturer coupons. They were in the 2/13 ($1) and 3/6 ($2) inserts. There are not any printable coupons available that I could find.

I chose the $5.99 items, which is eyeliner, mascara and eyeshadow. There are even bonus packs that include both an eyeliner and a mascara for $5.99. After deducting both coupons, I paid $1.69 and got $5 back. Did it twice so now I have two new eyeliners and a new mascara, plus $10 to spend at Walgreen’s. All for only $3.38. Hoping for a diaper deal to use them on!

That was a slow insert week for me and I only got four of the Almay coupons and promised two to a friend. That’s ok, I have plenty of makeup and I want her (she’s a couponing newbie) to experience a good (what we call in the extreme couponing world) moneymaker!
