Double Dip days at Walgreen’s

It’s double dip days again at Wags–the 2 days out of each month that their monthly coupon booklets overlap. Today and tomorrow only. I don’t see anything that jumps out at me, but the hcw discussion of the deals can be found here. Remember, as far as wags accepting both monthly coupons, it’s definitely a ymmv thing. I’ve never been denied at any area wags or Happy Harry’s, but I’ve only done it when it involved diaper deals. I don’t like to push my luck, so I figure unless it’s something I really covet (like diapers!) I’ll get a great deal on it another time. There also is a $5 off $20 available at their site. As always, the $20 must be after all other coupons, darn.

Walgreen’s-$25 Rx transfer coupon

If you want to get started at Walgreen’s with $0 oop, transfer your prescription and get a $25 gift card. Coupon is here. Then use it to purchase items that either generate RRs or will give you money back on a rebate.

Happy Shopping!

Look at what $2.23 can get you……

Ok, so some people may think I’m nuts for doing the CVS thing with the ECBs all the time. But after 2 stores (CVS and Walgreen’s) and a few transactions at each store, I only paid $2.23 cash oop for all of this. You can too. All I did was roll over RRs and ECBs, and used coupons. Actually my total is much less than $2.23, since I think wags owes me about $15-$18 in rebates. So when all is said & done, I actually made money on the deal. Though I have much fewer RRs than when I started, but more ECBs than when I started.
A few details:
Pumpkins, candy corn and glow lights: all are either $0.99 or $1.29 and giving equal amount back in ECBs at CVS. Maxed out limit on both cards. Today and tomorrow only at CVS.
Powerade: $1.69 at CVS with $1.69 back in ECBs, $0.75 coupons out there.
Cleaning supplies: Shout, Windex, Scrubbing Bubbles-get your printable coupons here . All of these items are on sale at CVS this week and wags is giving rebates for them. I’m getting paid $0.50 for each one I took off their hands. And I didn’t even pay for them in the first place! Well, I did, but with RRs.
Baby: Huggies and Johnson’s stuff is buy $25 get $10 ECB this week at CVS. I had coupons for everything and I will submit the Huggies for another $1 rebate each. Again, getting a dollar back for each item I never even paid for. I only did this on one card, will do it on another later this week. Looking for more Johnson’s coupons.
Revitalift: paid $5.99, getting $6.99 back in rebates from wags.
Pert: use the coupon from today’s paper and the wags monthly booklet and you get $1 overage on your transaction.
Gum toothbrushes: $3.99 with $3.99 back in ECBs, $0.75 coupons out there.
Excedrin: $1.99 at CVS and there are coupons out there that give overage on this as well.
Colgate: $2.99 with $2.00 back in ECBs, I had $1.50 coupons, so a $0.50 ECB gain for each one I got. I do not need toothpaste and I don’t like Colgate. But for the month of October, I had a gain of $5 ECBs by getting it, $5 that I used for diapers. And a class at my school is collecting stuff for a domestic violence shelter, so I’ll just donate it.
Other items such as Bounty were just cheap after store and mfr coupons so I used them as fillers because I need them. Happy shopping.

Spoke too soon…..and $5 Walgreen’s Q

Ok, there’s a Huggies deal at CVS starting Sunday. So I probably will wait to retire that second card. Other good deals too, I’ll post either tonight or tomorrow, stay tuned.

And here’s a $5 wags coupon good today and tomorrow only. And here is the hcw discussion on how to use it.
