new Acme ad

I got the ad for Acme that starts Friday. Finally something to get excited about! Certain Kellogg’s cereals are 1.50 each, must buy 6. But I have tons of the $1 coupons, and it includes Mini Wheats and Crispix! Yay! Usually it’s just the sugary stuff so I don’t get too much of it.

Keller’s butter is 1.88 which is a great price for butter. I find that butter freezes well. So does cream cheese, which is $1 for Philly brand and there were $1 off 3 coupons out, I think it was last week or the week before. So 3 bricks for $2. You just have to stir it up as it separates when frozen. Or I just use it in cooking/baking and it doesn’t matter.

The Hatfield bacon is bogo, I freeze bacon too and it’s fine. Hatfield is our favorite kind. The Herr’s are 3 for $6 again, make sure you look for those $0.35 peelies so that will take another $0.70 off each bag.

Snapple is 3 twelvepacks for $14, or 36 bottles for $14, or $0.38 a bottle. A good price if you like it, Dan likes to take tea with his lunches.

The Coke/Nabisco deal seems decent, I don’t know if there are any coupons floating around for either of those brands. But still decent prices if you’re having people over for the holidays.

The New England coffee is 4.50 a bag, so last chance to use those $1.50 coupons that were out before they expire. $3 for a bag of coffee is pretty good, I think.

GUM/Butler toothbrushes are $1, so use the $0.75 coupons that were out (last week maybe?) and get it for free and some possible overage.

Penn Maid sour cream is bogo if you need it, and there are $1 off 2 coupons out recently.

There’s also a small bottle of Advil for $1, check your coupon binders to see if you have $1 off ANY Advil coupons. Free! There are usually printables on their website too.

still slow……..

Still no deals to get excited over.

CVS-new ad starts tomorrow. If you have ECBs that you need to roll over and cannot wait until next week, there are a few ‘free after ECB’ items. But they stink, nothing I’d really want.

Sunday & Monday only
Nova Max glucometer/monitor $9.99
EARinse $9.99
Sleep MD $7.99
All of the above are free after ECBs and limit 1

All Week
Contour Monitor $14.99 get a $5.00 ECB (limit 1)

Colgate Total Advanced $2.99 get a $2.00 ECB (limit 2)

ACME
Another dud of a week. I’m going to keep my trip small. The only decent deal is the Kellogg’s cereal. $1.67 a box, must buy 3. If you have any of the $1 off one coupons left, only $0.67 a box. These coupons were in the inserts a few weeks ago and I believe they expire 12/31, so I guess I’ll use up whatever I have.

Walgreen’s
Today is the last day for this week’s spend $25 get $5 RR. I’ve done this deal twice. Buy the Arm & Hammer detergent that is advertised with an in-store coupon on the back of the ad. The detergent is $6.99, but then with coupon, only $1.99 and there is a $1 off one coupon available on the A&H website. The best part is that $6.99 will count towards your $25 total. Then when you hand them the coupon, the register takes $5 off for each one. The site will let you print 2 coupons.

A few slow weeks……

I haven’t posted much lately mainly because it’s been slow. But after Superdoubles and back to back weeks of triples at Superfresh, plus a big week at CVS, slow is good.

Tomorrow is another 4 day sale at Walgreen’s, get $5 RR when you spend $25. If you have the $5 rr from last week, you can use that & it will roll over. This week it’s Pepsi that is buy 15, get $5 rr, and I got both $5 rr last week with the coke and my $25 total. Maybelline is bogo, but I’m not sure how that will ring up as far as counting towards your $25 total. Would be nice if it counted and then came off at the end, but who knows.

Also, last week the PA Walgreen’s did these deals, but not Happy Harry’s. Sorry Delawareans. This time it’s you guys coming to our state to shop.

On Saturday, Santa will be at Avon News in Avondale from 1-3. Another great close hassle-free way to see Santa. I will do anything to avoid a mall in December. They also have a nice selection of gifty things, like teacher/babysitter type gifts, so be sure to look around. It’s also a PA lottery center, so why not take a chance? Someone has to win, right?

Tomorrow’s CVS ad

Looks like another slow week at CVS. Good thing ECBs are good for a month. Week of Dec 21 looks very promising–so all the ECBs we earned on Black Friday weekend can be used then. This week:

Hershey’s spend $20 get $10 ECB (limit 1) There are various coupons out for the Bliss and the Hershey’s kisses that make this a decent deal.

Powerade 32oz. $1.59 Get $1.59 ECB (limit 1)

Energizer batteries spend $20 get $10

Duracell-spend $15 get $5 ECB (limit 1) If you have the $5/2 CVS Duracell coupons then this can be a moneymaker if you split it into 3 transactions; if you still have some mfr coupons left.
