Giant PA + Doubling Coupons

I have heard rumors that Giant PA was changing their coupon policy YET AGAIN.  Well, rumors no more.

Here is their updated policy.

Take note that not only will they only double one like coupon, they will only double UP TO $1.00. This means that $0.01 – $0.50 coupons will double their face value. It also means that $0.51-$0.99 will only double to $1.00.

Yet another reason for me to not make a special trip to Giant.  Whatever floats their boat.

How about you? Will you shop Giant as much or will you go there for less?

Kid Craft: Homemade Playdough

Don’t buy it, make it. Or don’t use it at all. Am I the only mom who HATES play dough? I know, such a strong word, but I do. I hate how it gets in the carpet, the cracks of the wood floor, under my finger nails, and on the bottom of shoes, but I am going to give you a recipe for it just in case you are one of those awesome moms, unlike me.

There is really no point to buying play dough if you can make it sooo much cheaper. Yes, really, A LOT cheaper.

3 cups flour

1/2 cup salt

1 tablespoon cream of tartar or angel cream (the cheaper version)

2 tablespoons or 2 packets koolaid mix or cocoa powder

1 1/2 cups boiling water

2 tablespoons oil

Mix the dry ingredients in your mixer.

Add the water and oil and mix well. If it is too wet, add 1/2-1 cup more flour.

Pull out of the mixer, give it a quick knead with your hands and let sit to cool. After it cools a bit package it in something air tight.

If you want colors you could skip the kool aid and knead food coloring into sections of the dough for different colors.

Review: Happy Nappers + Promo Code

"We're happy, happy nappers...."

This song runs through my head at least one time a day. If you have no idea what I am talking about, they are, or are bound to be, the next Pillow Pet. I actually like them better. is that alright to say? We had the opportunity to review one for free. Really, I am a sucker for most anything that is free, but when it is something that one of my kids already desperately wants, there is no question, I’m not down that chance! My 6 year old has a penguin Pillow pet and had his eye on the Happy Napper Penguin. You will get to enjoy pictures of him with his Pinguy throughout the post. He was more than happy to pose…..it turned into a whole photo op on his part.

Jay at Play created a winner yet again. I say yet again because, in case you missed it, my daughter got one of their adorable Best Flower Pot Buds for us to review. My son was so excited when his Happy Napper arrived. You would have thought it a Christmas. The design of Happy Napper is very good. He flips fairly easily from an igloo to a loveable squishable penguin buddy.

Practicing "safe riding".

He travels well in the car, with a seat belt of course, and makes a little boy the perfect pillow. He loves him so much. This mommy loves him too. The only ting I don’t like is the igloo’s doorbell. I imagine it’s suppose to be a sleeping penguin sound but I really don’t know. I am sure if I looked it up I could learn what it is but that’s ok. My son much prefers to make stories up about what that noise is. Noisy toys are so not up my alley but in this case I can handle it. In fact, it is low enough on the annoying level that when my daughter had Easter money to spend, I didn’t hesitate to let her buy a Happy Napper, and even forked over the tax for it, something I usually don’t do. Generally they are required to have ALL the money for what they want. (You know, staying within their budget.)

You can get your kids their very own Happy Napper. You can get your child their new best pal too. Shop HERE and use code SPECIAL4U to get FREE shipping on top of the discounted price.

A portion of all Happy Nappers’ proceeds will be given to the Home Sweet Home Fund benefiting the Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation.

Every good penguin needs to know how to dive!

Oh, and here’s an “inside out” picture. He thinks that part is boring to pose with.

I received a FREE Happy Napper and sing along bear in order to do this review. However, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
