Have I mentioned that my family really like Putumayo Kids?
Well, we do. I was first introduced to their music when I listened to it at, where else? The Please Touch Museum. They sell it there. I purchased the Dreamland CD. Funny story–I would put it on for Kevin at nap time and night time, he was an itty bitty baby at the time. Well, soon enough he hit toddler age and went through a phase of resisting naps. Whenever I would put on that CD, he would carry on & scream so much, I’d fear the neighbors would report me. It was just ironic, because the music itself is quite relaxing, but to him it signaled naptime so he’d scream. Thankfully he grew out of that phase. Now, that CD is so scratched up it’s un-play-able and I still won’t throw it away.
Our collection has grown to about 15 of their CDs now and I just recently purchased Asian Dreamland.
What we’re giving away here is Acoustic Dreamland. You can listen to samples here. I’m jealous that one of you is getting it for free!

We have several favorites here: Twinkle Twinkle, You are my Sunshine, and Hello Goodbye by Paul McCartney. The last one was used in a Target ad when my son, now 3.5, was an infant and it stuck in my head. I sang it in desparation to quiet him when he would just wail at night and it worked. It wasn’t until months later I learned it was a “real” song and not a jingle!
Thanks for making me feel old with the Paul McCartney thing….lol.
When my daughter was a baby I would sing to her Baby Mone or I’ve Got You Under My Skin. Even now she is soothed by either and she’s 11

LOVE LOVE LOVE Putamayo CDs! I have the Animal one and when I play it in the car both kids settle down and get quiet. It’s wonderful. My favorite lullaby is “I see the Moon” which we used to sing at camp, and “Moon Moon Moon” by Laurie Berkner. I have a thing for moons I guess. Great giveaway!
